Hello fellow scrappers!
I had a great NSD over at scrapbook.com, so I thought I would share some of my NSD challenge creations...
Snail Mail Challenge:
This is a card I created for my son's preschool teacher. My son and his teacher both love Star Wars, as does our whole family. So I thought I would make a cute little card that would thank him for being a great Jedi Master teacher for our little Padawan.
There's No Place Like Home Challenge:
I did this layout to tell the story of being homeless and how my family had to sleep in churches for 3 months.
Write a Book Challenge:
This was a layout that had to include a good amount of journaling, so I decided to tell the story of me and my husband's long distance relationship before he came to the US to live with me, marry me, and have beautiful babies with me. :)
Mask it and Mist it Challenge:
This was a fun one. We had to use a mask and mist. I decided to use the Crafter's Workshop Fish Scales template that I got in my NSD kit that I ordered from scrapbook.com. (I think they still have some kits available, and I tell you... everything in it was awesome, check it out!) I used some shimmery blue paper that I picked up from Michael's a while ago. After placing the mask, first I used my
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad in Faded Jeans. I stamped randomly around the page, not completely covering it. Second I used the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Denim Blue. I made sure to completely cover the page and allow it to dry. When the mask was lifted, there was an awesome water effect left on the page. The splash was done with Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fence by blotting the brush onto the paper. I think it turned out pretty cool!
Sketch it! Challenge:
I love this one! Simply said... my daughter at two days being loved by daddy. You can't get more precious than that. Thank you Kels for the great sketch!
