Nick & Drew
Hello Bloggers! I'd like to share with you a layout I did using a Scrapbook.com sketch.
Here is the sketch I used:
Scrapbook.com Sketch 20
And here is my take on it:
Nick & Drew
This is my nephew and his girlfriend. I haven't had the chance to meet this lovely lady, but I've never seen my nephew more happy than in pictures he takes with her. I felt this picture in particular was begging to be scrapped - of course I had to steal it off of Facebook, he he.
Key products used:
- black and white Bazzill card stock
- pattern paper from Heidi Swapp and My Mind's Eye
- white signo pen (one of my staples)
- washi tape (My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio line)
- Fancy Pants button
- b/w baker's twine
This was a fun sketch to work with. I encourage you to give it a try.

Remembering Grandma
My grandmother passed away almost 4 years ago. This is one of my favorite pictures of us together. I was able to complete the layout without shedding a tear, but once it was finished and I stepped back and looked at it... I became a human waterfall.

Valentines with scraps...
Hello! I woke up this morning feeling the need to make just one more Valentine. I had some scraps left over from another project that I thought would be perfect for a Valentine. So, this is what I came up with...
I had this lovely strip of paper from Teresa Collins' You are My Happy line. I had already punched out the "love" in a heart shape for another project, and it turned out to work perfectly for this design too. I glued the strip onto a 5.5 x 4.25 card I made from leftover card stock. The rest of the card just grew from there. I used additional scraps and some washi tape to create the pennants. I topped it off with some stickles accents and assorted embellishments, which again, were leftover from other projects.
I'm submitting this to the Quietfire Blog Hop. Check them out and show them and me some love, by voting for my card design over the next few days.
Thank you for looking.

Minion Valentine Card
My 5 year old son is a huge Minion fan, so I put together this card for him.
I started with yellow smooth bazzill cardstock cut 7" x 6.5", scored a line at 3.5" on the 7" side and folded on the score line. I used a fiskars corner rounder on all four corners.
For the goggle, I used my silhouette to cut a white heart and a grey heart frame. I used a marvy silver DecoColor pen to color the frame and I glued it on top of the white heart to create the goggle. I finished it off with a .5" black circle and a black foam pop dot for the eye. The band is a simple .5" strip of black cardstock.
For the overalls I cut a 3.5" x 2" piece out of denim shimmer paper and used the fiskars corner rounder on the bottom two corners. Then I took a black Signo pen and doodled stitching around the entire piece and a pocket in the middle. I punched a small heart out of red glitter paper using a Marvy punch and adhered it with another foam pop dot.
The mouth I drew by hand with a black zig writer.
I've seen several other Minion cards out there. They are super cute and very easy to make. If you have a Minion fan in your home, you should definitely give it a try.

I'm Back!!!
Hey fellow Bloggers!
I have been MIA for months, I know, I'm sorry. But I'm back and I have so much to share with you. I have been working for a Scrapbooking store, that is now sadly closing. So I have decided to get back on here and get the creative juices flowing. Over the next few weeks I'll be updating you on some projects I've been working on over the past few months, so stay tuned!
